This is where the more practical classes are located (i.e. arithmetic, history, etc.) along with a pool, open to all students. Detention is also held here.

The vast majority of people who enter the East Wing are Gifted, as this is where their powers-related classes are held. The only reason a Normal would venture in here is because of the beautiful rooftop gardens.

This place pretty much belongs to the jocks. The athletic department has taken over here, which means gyms and weight training class. Yet, this is also where the Grand Entrance is located, and students are permitted to have parties there (if approved by the Head). The cafeteria is also located here.

This is a very nice park, with everything from sand boxes to swing sets to jungle gyms. There are also park benches, for those who just wish to sit and enjoy the pond that is settled in the middle of it. A sidewalk also winds around the pond, for you ambitious joggers.

So, you fancy yourself an avid reader? Here you can buy some of the best books in Harlan. Of course, the supplies is limited, as all the books are smuggled in, but it's still pretty prosperous.

Do you play an instrument, or want to learn how? Muerle's is the place to go. They have all kinds of instruments, from saxophones to guitars, drums to trombones. They also have all the equipment you need, such as amps and reeds. Books on how to learn and to expand your playing are available, along with lessons.

Ah, the beach. You can always find interesting people here. Surfers, in particular. Or, you can just go people-watching. You might just watch the pretty people, though, while you lay out in the sun, trying to catch a few rays.

| Smash Music
This is a simple music store that sells everything from hip-hop to reggae to rock to classical. You can buy it as cassette's, CD's, and sometimes even records. They also offer some live performances featured on DVD's.

| The Pen's Cap
A small coffee shop in downtown Harlan, it's very popular among the artistic. It's hot chocolate is also famous, but if you find yourself wanting something else, there's also a wide variety of slushies, milkshakes, and coffee. There's also a poetry reading every Friday night.

| The Strobe
The Strobe is the main club in downtown Harlan. It features mainstream music, with its own bar. The dance floor is usually packed full of bodies. There's even a bar. You need your ID to get in, unless you happen to know the right people....

| The Alley
Most respectable people try to avoid this place. This is where the junkies hang out. You can usually hook yourself up with the latest drugs, get yourself some cigarettes, or buy some booze. It gets really dangerous after dark.

| Slapshot
Slapshot is a three-in-one deal. It has a regular skating rink, for roller blades and quads. It also has an ice skating rink, for anyone who happens to ice skate. And not only that, they also have their own little skate park, for all you crazy skaters out there. Pretty neat, huh?

| Forum Cinema
Since Harlan isn't on any map, the movies here aren't those new releases you see flashing on your TV. Instead, it plays everything from old black and white films to modern day, if they happen to have the movie.

What can I say? It's the Mall, filled with every store and concession stand all Malls do. Great place to hang out on the weekends with friends.

| Tone
Tone is a small club that features mainly around rock. Different deejays means different genres of rock. Every couple of Saturday and Friday night, local rock bands (if they're good enough) play there.
